SeaRoc Group Launches Marine Coordination Workshop

SeaRoc Group have announced they will be hosting a series of workshops for industry professionals – the first in this series will focus on developments of the company’s SeaPlanner Marine Management System under the subject of ‘Innovation in Marine Coordination’.

The workshop aims to educate those responsible for managing logistics for projects offshore, focusing on the optimisation of safety and efficiency.

Nick Murphy, Head of Operations at SeaRoc Group commented: “As the offshore wind industry evolves with wind farms entering the O&M phase and new construction moving further from shore, there is a heavy focus on utilising new methods, systems and technology that help drive down cost, increase efficiency and improve safety. This is where our focus has been in terms of development to our SeaPlanner software and new hardware products and we look forward to demonstrating all the new functionality this brings to marine coordination at our workshop on 23rd November.”

Topics for the workshop include demonstrations of transfer planning, farshore communication solutions, HSEQ, insights into what is to come from SeaPlanner in the future as well as opportunities for attendees to provide their input on what they would like to see from marine coordination systems going forward.

The SeaPlanner Workshop: Innovation in Marine Coordination, will take place on 23rd November 2016 in Chichester, UK.

Notes to editors

Formed in 2002, SeaRoc Group has over a decade of experience in offshore renewable energy. SeaRoc has an extensive worldwide project portfolio, adopting a full lifecycle approach to projects from design, through construction and into decommissioning, specialising in HSEQ support and GIS data management services.

In 2006 the company went on to develop, SeaPlanner, industry leading software that provides the tools for the safe and efficient management of projects offshore. Features include personnel tracking, access control, vessel tracking, weather management, induction management, HSE risk management, geographic information systems (GIS), maintenance planning as well as managing offshore certification and documentation.

Now an industry leading marine management and monitoring tool, SeaPlanner has expanded beyond renewables into markets such as offshore dredging and marine-civil construction across the UK, Europe and Australia.

Recognising the need for companies to streamline their induction processes and reduce costs, the SeaRoc Group launched an online induction software tool, induct.me in 2014 – developed from the Induction Manager module within SeaPlanner. The system enables all personnel to submit their personnel details, upload their certification, watch a site induction/H&S video and answer a site induction Q&A. This can all be achieved before a person steps onto site, reducing administration, and saving the project time and money.
