MOONTOWN NEW PREMISES INCORPORATE FULL MANUFACTURING FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE SEAL PRODUCTS
The Moontown company was established in 1996, operating as a distributor for PTFE spring energised seals, together with associated fluid sealing products. They have an expanding customer base, with an established reputation for the supply of quality products, supported with technical advice gained from their many years of experience of solving sealing problems associated with a wide range of applications and industries. They have developed the technical knowledge for solving problems associated where extremes of temperature, pressure and friction occur including sealingapplications involving hazardous or aggressive chemicals.
Following a recent move to new premises together with the investment in production machinery, Moontown Ltd are also now able to offer a full seal manufacturing and stocking facility from their UK base in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottingham. With in-house moulding/sintering/ machining and spring manufacture (including laser welding) being undertaken at their new premises, the company are proud to claim their products are ‘Manufactured in England’. They will be able to maintain a tighter control over materials,quality and production procedures,which they anticipate will be beneficial to existing and new customers.

Typical spring energised sealscan be supplied up to 1400mm diameter and hydraulic seals up to 2500mm, designed for either linear/ rotary or flange face sealapplications. Effective sealing solutions can be achieved with PTFE spring energised and hydraulic seals for applications in the chemical, oil and gas, automotive, food and pharmaceuticals as well as a wide range of general engineering fields. These are complemented by a wide range of metal O, C and E seals, including spring energised-resilient metal seals.
