THE SARASOTA TRILOGY OF ANTIQUES SHOWS MAKES FLORIDA THE BEST DESTINATION FOR WINTER ANTIQUING

Sarasota, FLAtlantic City, NJ —Sarasota, FLSar — Antiques collectors, art lovers and those with an interest in the beautiful and historic can look forward to an exciting winter in Sarasota as JMK Shows will host three antiques shows of distinction, each featuring 50 hand-selected dealers offering an abundance of the finest furnishings, silver, crystal, jewelry, art and much more.

The first in the series will kick the New Year off right opening on Friday, January 1, 2010 and running through Sunday, January 3. Appropriately named the “Sarasota Holiday Antiques Show and Sale,” both local and national dealers will be on hand to help ring in the New Year. Shoppers can look forward to the finest Tiffany and Handel from Adele and Alan Grodsky, exquisite estate jewelry and 20th century art from Gold Leaf Antiques as well as fine range of 18th and19th century American and English furnishings from B & B Johnson of Kennebunk, ME.

The second in the trilogy of shows, The Winter Antiques Show and Sale, will be held on January 29, 30 and 31. Butler and Butler of Sarasota will be featured at this event as will Barometer Fair bringing one of the nation’s most extensive collections of antique barometers, telescopes and scientific antiques. Recollections and Classic Antiques will also be exhibiting offering an impressive selection of collectibles and furniture.

Special features at this event will include an on-site certified appraiser who will identify your treasures for $5 per item. Also of note at this event will BE the author of “High Fashion Handbags,” Ladybug International, who will also be displaying a stunning selection of designer vintage bags. Live music on Friday provided by a strong trio will add the ambiance to this high caliber event.

The grand finale of the trilogy will take place on February 19, 20 and 21. Also named the Sarasota Winter Antiques Show and Sale, again a contingent of 50 hand-selected dealers will offer a comprehensive and fine array of antiques, art, decoratives and jewelry. Allison Kohler, owner of JMK Shows, is particularly honored to welcome Louis J. Dianni as a new exhibitor as this event. Dianni is known internationally for his extensive selection of antique marine art as well as sailor art such as scrimshaw and ship models. Also exhibiting at this event will be a shining star from Sarasota’s Antique Row. Known for their lovely selection of 18th century oil paintings, Apple & Carpenter Antique Gallery will also feature fine furniture, silver, porcelain and glass. A certified appraiser will also be featured at this event show and a live string trio will be on hand for everyone’s listening pleasure.

Each of the Sarasota Antiques Shows will be held at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium located at 801 N. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. Admission to the shows is $6 with free return privileges (discount coupon available at www.jmkshows.com)

Hours for the January 1, 2, 3, 2010 show are Friday: 6pm-9pm, Saturday: 10-6, Sunday: 11-5. Hours for the January 29, 30, 31 and February 19, 20 and 21 shows are Friday and Saturday: 10-6, Sunday 12-5.
