SHARE WHAT YOU WEAR DROP OFF BEGINS

It is that time of year again for Iowa Central Community College’s 10thAnnual “Share What You Wear” project. This year, the Share What You Wear event is part of the Winter Wonderland Program in Webster City. Iowa Central Community College is a Chamber member.

They will start collecting items starting Tuesday, November 5th. The truck will be located directly behind the Career Education Building on the Fort Dodge campus. Drop off times are everyTuesdayandThursday from 4-6 p.m.(except Thanksgiving week) up until the actual event which is Saturday, December 7th. Students from Student Senate will be there to help you unload your vehicle.

Drop off sites on the Fort Dodge campus will be:

1)The Rec Center – this is the recommended spot as it will be close to the truck. (just take it to the front desk area)

2)AST Building

3)Front of the Administration Building

4)The hallway by the Help Desk

You can also drop off items at the Webster City campus, but the garages on November 23 from 9 am to 12 noon. The nursing students will be there to accept them.

Items that will be accepted are:

Good clean clothing (please do not donate any clothing with holes or smell, cause we throw those away ourselves if we have too)

Boots, Shoes, Coats, Gloves, hats, Toys, School clothes, Baby items, Men’s & Women’s work clothing, Sheets, Towels, Blankets, Travel size soaps & shampoos, & School supplies.

They also accept any new items that could be wrapped as Christmas Gifts.

This event is for the needy people in our community. Iowa Central hopes you can give of your time, your items or money to help make this another successful event. This truly is Christmas for a lot of people in the community that don’t have anything.
