NOTORIOUS ROBBERS ARRESTED

TWO MAIN ROBBERS OF GEETA COLONY HEIST WITH LOOTED JEWELLERY WORTH Rs. 50 LACS ARRESTED

With the arrest of two notorious robbers namely 1) Punit Arora @ Peenu s/o Bhagwan Dass r/o Gali No. 5 Surender Colony, Village Jharoda, Delhi and 2) Tanish @ Tanni s/o Jagdish Hasija r/o HNo. S1/78 Old Mahaveer Nagar, near Tilak Nagar, Delhi, the Special Staff of North-West District recovered looted jewellary worth Rs. 50 Lacs from their possession.

INCIDENT:-

On 10.5.14, Sh. Rajesh Dave s/o Kanti Lal Dave r/o HNo. B-2 Swasthya Vihar, Delhi, reported that he owns a jewellary shop in Chandni Chowk area. On the same day he was returning to his home alongwith his driver through his car bearing No. DL2C-AH-1206 (Maruti SX4). He was carrying three bags containing jewellary worth Rs. 2-3 crores and cash Rs. 3-4 lacs. At about 9 PM, when they reached in front of SDM office/Geeta Colony, suddenly a ZEN car intercepted their car and four armed youths came out from the said car and overpowered them at gun point. They snatched their jewellary and cash and threw them out of the car. Thereafter they run away from the spot in the car of complainant with their own car after firing some shots in the air. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 300/14 u/s 392/34 IPC was registered at PS Geeta Colony, Delhi. Being a very sensational case, many teams of Delhi Police was working to solve this case.

INVESTIGATION :

A team of Special Staff/NWD consisting of Inspr. Shyam Sunder, SI Rajeev Ranjan, SI Ajay Kumar, HC Shahir Khan, HC Subhash Chand and others under the close supervision of ACP/Operations/North-West Distt also worked relentlessly to solve the case. On 8.6.14, SI Rajiv Ranjan received a specific information that two culprits of sensational Geeta Colony robbery case would visit near Haider Pur to meet some person for disposal of the looted jewellary. The raiding party laid a trap near Haider Pur bus stop at outer ring road. At about 7:15 PM at the instance of secret informer two youths were apprehended near Haider Pur bus stop and a bag containing jewellary was recovered from their possession. After some enquiries they disclosed their identity as 1) Punit Arora @ Peenu s/o Bhagwan Dass r/o Gali No. 5 Surender Colony, Village Jharoda, Delhi and 2) Tanish @ Tanni s/o Jagdish Hasija r/o HNo. S1/78 Old Mahaveer Nagar, near Tilak Nagar, Delhi. On asking about the recovered gold jewelries both of them could not reply satisfactorily hence they were subjected to sustained interrogation. After interrogation both of them confessed their involvement in Geeta Colony robbery case. Subsequently, they were arrested vide DD No. 27A dated 8.6.14 u/s 41.1(ba) Cr.P.C. PS Maurya Enclave Delhi


INTERROGATION:

During sustained interrogation they confessed their involvement in this case. They disclosed that they alongwith their associates hatched a conspiracy to rob a Chandi Chowk jeweler. One of their associate namely Harsh, who work in Chandni Chowk jewellery market has pin-point the victim jeweler who used to carry heavy jewellary and cash to his home. In order to earn quick money Harsh passed this information first to his friend Deepak Aggarwal, who engaged other criminals namely Parveen @ Jojo, Puneet, Tanish, Jat Ram, Fighter and some other notorious gangsters of UP to execute this plan. On 10.5.14, when jeweler Rajesh Dave left his shop for his home in his car, Tanish gave a signal to their associates that target has left his shop with jewellery and cash. The other gang members chase the car of the complainant on a motor cycle and a car and at about 9 PM when the complainant reached in front of SDM office/Geeta Colony, they intercepted his car and overpowered the complainant and his driver at gun point. They snatched their jewellary and cash and threw them out of the car. Thereafter they ran away from the spot in the car of complainant alongwith their own vehicles after firing some shots in the air. After executing their plan they assembled in Ghaziabad and distributed the looted jewellery and cash among themselves and went their own way. Accused Puneet and Tanish were trying to dispose off their share in Pitam Pura market and were ready to leave Delhi but meanwhile they came on the radar of Special Staff/NWD and were arrested vide DD No. 27A dated 8.6.14 u/s 41.1(ba) Cr.P.C. PS Maurya Enclave Delhi.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS

1) Punit Arora @ Peenu was born in 1988 at Sant Nagar Burari, Delhi . He has one brother and two sisters in his family. His father is working as driver in Rithala area. He studied upto 8th standard and left the school. Later on he started the job of driver in tour and travel offices but this profession could not provide him sufficient money to live life. He fell into the company of anti social elements and started to commit crime for the sake of easy and quick money. At the initial stage he started to commit offence of chain snatching, thereafter he gained confidence and involved himself in sensational cases of robbery and dacoity. Previously he is involved in 15 criminal cases.

2)  Tanish @ Tanni, aged about 25 years is a school drop out. He belongs to a poor family. His father is a news paper salesman. At the early age of life he fell into the company of bad elements and started committing petty crimes to earn quick and easy money. He gained confidence to commit crimes and started committing heinous offences. He is previously involved in seven cases of snatching and thefts.

Local Police has been informed about their arrest. Efforts are on to apprehend the remaining absconding accused persons.

ONE BURGLER ARRESTED

JEWELLERY AND GOODS WORTH RS. 15 LACS RECOVERED

By arresting one notorious burgler namely Mohd Farid, the staff of PS Adarsh Nagar has achieved a great success by solving 9 cases of house theft of Adarsh Nagar area. Jewellery and other goods worth Rs. 15 lacs have been recovered at his instance.

INCIDENT

On 2.6.14, Smt. Nirmal Aggarwal resident of Majlis Park near Azadpur reported about theft of jewellery and other belongings from her house. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 364/14 u/s 380/457 IPC PS Adarsh Nagar was registered and investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION

A team comprising ASI Jolen Dhanga, HC Karambir No 473/NW, Ct. Vinod was constituted under the leadership of Inspr. Parveen Kumar, SHO/Adarsh Nagar and overall supervision of Sh. Deepak Yadav, ACP/Model Town. The constituted team laid a trap at Shah Alam Bandh road and on a secret information, HC Karambir apprehended one suspect looking person and he came out to be one Mohd Farid S/o Seikh Sahidul R/o B-7-246, Swaroop Nagar, Delhi. On personal search, one gold biscuit of 100 gms, one gold biscuit of 20 gms, 2 gold ginni, one gold coin, 7 silver utensils were recovered. He told that he was going to sell these articles. He further disclosed that he can make the recovery of other stolen articles. Hence, one day police custody remand was obtained from concerned court and during interrogation, accused disclosed that he has also been involved in 8 more thefts of Adarsh Nagar area. At his disclosure, 8 more cases of PS Adarsh Nagar have been solved. He further told that while working as rag-picker, he used to make a watch on the locked houses during day time and during night, he used to commit theft in that houses.

Mohd Farid is an illiterate person and belongs to Bengal. He is a drug addict and uses to work as a rag-picker. He has earlier been involved in 3 cases of house theft of PS Jahangir Puri and Samaipur Badli. registered at different police stations.

ABDUCTION CUM MURDER CASE SOLVED

With the arrest of Satish Yadav S/o Sh Sehdev Yadav @ Lala Ram, the special staff of West District has done excellent piece of investigation by solving an abduction cum murder case registered vide case FIR No.262/2014 dated 12.03.14 u/s 365 IPC in PS Uttam Nagar.

NAME AND PROFILE OF ACCUSED

1.  Satish Yadav S/o Sehdev Yadav @ Lala Ram,, Village Malkosh, PS Bondkalan, Tehsil Dadri, District Bhiwani, aged 28 years. He completed his graduation from, District Bhiwani in 2010. He came to Delhi in search of job and started working as a security guard in a Company in Tagore Garden. Later on he started working as Insurance Agent in Najafgarh where he worked for two and half years. After that he left job and remained ideal.

To meet his requirements he started looking for innocent persons from his native place for providing job in Delhi. He used to collect Rs.50,000/- to Rs.2,00,000/- for providing job as a clerk in Fire Brigade, SSC etc. in Delhi. It is learnt that he has cheated 5/6 persons so far.

Jai Bhagwan S/o Phool Singh R/o Village Malcon, PS Bondkalan Tehsil Dadri, District Bhiwani, Haryana also approached him to provide a job for his son Vikas as clerk in ICAR, Pusa, Delhi. The accused took Rs.3,00,000/- from his father and told him to bring his son Vikas in Delhi. Thus, Vikas was brought in Delhi on 10.03.13 where he was offered a forged appointment letter. Initially, the victim was given sleeping pills on the pretext that he will qualify medical test easily then he murdered him and dumped the body in the agricultural field in Dwarka area.

RECOVERY

1.  Bones of the deceased.

2.  Alto Car No. used in committing crime.

3.  One laptop make ACER alongwith dongel.

4.  Rs.20000/- cash.

CASE WORK OUT

1. FIR No.262/2014 dated 12.03.14 u/s 365 /302 ssIPC PS Uttam Nagar

SEQUENCE OF INCIDENT

On 12.03.2014, complainant Sh. Jai Bhagwan S/o Phool Singh R/o Village Malcon, PS Bondkalan Tehsil Dadri, District Bhiwani, Haryana aged 47 years reported at Police Station Uttam Nagar that one person namely Satish Yadav resident of his village had taken Rs.3,00,000/- lacs from him for providing job to his son as clerk in ICAR, Pussa, Delhi. The accused has also given a forged appointment letter as a clerk in ICAR, Pussa, Delhi. Thus, the complainant brought his son to Delhi on 10.03.14 for joining. The complainant alongwith his son met the accused at his rented house i.e. H. No.91, A A2 Block, Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar who assured him that he will send his son Vikas for training alongwith two other persons who are likely to join from Rewari. After getting assurance the complainant returned to his village. On the same day at 12.30 PM, complainant received a call from his son Vikas that accused Satish was forcibly giving him Alprax tablets. The complainant immediately called the accused Satish who informed him that nobody will talk to Vikas for 10-12 days. The complainant tried to speak on his mobile but it was found off.

On 12.03.14, complainant reached Delhi and again called on the mobile number of accused Satish and his wife Saroj but their phone was found switched off. They also reached the rented house i.e. H. No.91, A A2 Block, Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar of the Satish which was found locked. Thus, a case vide FIR No.262/2014 dated 12.03.14 u/s 365 IPC was registered in PS Uttam Nagar and investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION

Initially, the investigation was handed over to local police subsequently the same was entrusted to Special Staff/West District and a team comprising SI Charan Singh, ASI Ishwer Singh, HC Sunil, HC Laxman, HC Kirori Mal, Ct. Sunil Kumar under the supervision of Inspr. S.S. Rathi, Special Staff/WD and over all supervision Sh. Jagjit Sangwan, ACP/Operation/WD was constituted for conducting the investigation in a professional manner.

The staff worked very hard day and night. They examined the local residents of Uttam Nagar area, relatives & friends of the victim but no clue. Accused Satish Yadav has disappeared after committing the crime. On 10.03.13 accused took him in his Alto car and advised him to take Alprax tablets so that he can qualify the medical examination. The victim became suspicious and called his parents. By the time he became unconscious. He was taken in Dwarka area where he murdered him and dumped his body in the agricultural field. He came to his residence in Uttam Nagar and took his family with himself and left the rented accommodation in alto car and reached Railway Station where he boarded the train for Agra. On the way his son became ill, thus he got down at Aligarh where he arranged medical treatment. On the next day he reached Agra by bus from where he took train and reached Mumbai. The accused was staying in a rented accommodation in Kalyan alongwith his family. The local police conducted raids in Delhi and other suspected places. The relatives of the accused were interrogated but no clue. The technical surveillance was mounted. On the basis of the source information raiding party was sent to Kalyan where accused Satish was apprehended on 05.06.14. He was produced before concerned Magistrate who provided him transit remand for two days. The accused was brought Delhi on 08.06.14 and produced before the concerned Court who remanded him for 03 days police custody. On the instance of the accused the bones of the deceased and one laptop have been recovered. Alto car has already been recovered by the police. The exhibits are being sent for DNA profiling for the identity of the deceased. Efforts are on to conduct further investigation.
