A QUIRKY, VIBRANT AND HUMOROUS ADAPTATION OF JULIA JARMAN AND ADRIAN REYNOLD’S POPULAR CHILDREN’S PICTURE BOOK, BIG RED BATH, RETURNS FOR A UK TOUR

Rubba-dubba-giggle, rubba-dubba-laugh, there’s magic to be found in the big red bath.

A quirky, vibrant and humorous adaptation of Julia Jarman and Adrian Reynolds’ popular children’s picture book,Big Red Bath,begins a new nationwide tour which will see it visit nine venues across the UK from 19 April – 12 July 2015.

The show for 2-5 year olds features music by We Were Evergreen, an alternative indie-electro-pop trio who bring a blend of folk melodies, electro beats and vocal harmonies to the colourful production.

It’s the end of a busy day and it is almost time for bed, and Ben and Bella are in the bath. Splish! Splosh! Splash! Bubbles burst and bubbles rise and a frothy feast of animals jump right in to join in the fun. Come with us on a bubbly, barmy bath time adventure around the world and home again celebrating all things bath time.

Big Red Bath is an exciting collaboration between Full House Theatre and Half Moon that will appeal to families as it blends music, song and humorous character based performances in a unique new take on this well-loved book.

The showfeatures quirky music by French trio We Were Evergreen, who bring a fresh and unique vibe to the world of children’s theatre, a medium few contemporary bands are interested in being a part of. We Were Evergreen commented: “We've always wanted to write for a very young audience. This enables us to experiment with sounds and unusual instruments and create a world of its own."

Big Red Bath is one of several productions that form part of Half Moon presents, the producing arm of Half Moon, supporting the promotion and development of theatre for young audiences at a national and international level.

Half Moon is a local organisation with a national remit, committed to supporting young people at every stage of their creative development. Working from our base in Limehouse and throughout the community in Tower Hamlets, we make a big impact on the lives of young people. Our work reaches almost 50,000 people annually and engages those who are often excluded from arts activity. ABOUT FULL HOUSE THEATRE
Physical and visual theatre company Full House utilises imagination and humour to create interpretative, issue based and educational entertainment for audiences of all ages. They pride themselves on creating work that genuinely appeals to the whole family and deliver projects to a wide range of audiences in theatres, schools, parks, arts centres and other community venues. As well as national touring much of their work is centred around their applied theatre projects to deliver community theatre, education and participatory arts projects to a wide variety of service users. All of the work delivered in these settings is underpinned by a desire to inspire young minds, encourage a lifelong love of theatre, develop confidence and interpersonal skills and create a safe and constructive environment for creative thought and freedom of expression. ABOUT WE WERE EVERGREEN
We Were Evergreen are a Parisian alternative indie-electro-pop trio formed in 2008 (Michael Liot – vocals, ukulele, acoustic guitar, banjo, trumpet; Fabienne Débarre – vocals, keyboards, xylophone, glockenspiel, harmonica; William Serfass – vocals, percussions, bass). The band is currently based in the UK and tour extensively throughout Europe. Their shape-shifting pop songs blend folk melodies, electro beats and exotic rhythms.
