Option 1: If you renew on June 30, hold off on paying your vehicle registration until the Rotary International Specialty plate is available. When it is available, go into your county tax office with the application and let them know that you would like to apply for this plate and pay your vehicle registration. They will process the application and register the new plates to your vehicle. You will receive your windshield sticker for the new year and a 15 day temporary tag. The plates will then be mailed directly to your home.
Option 2: Renew your current vehicle registration before June 30 (if that is your deadline). When the Rotary International Specialty plate is available, you will take the application to their office to let them know that you would like to order this plate and have it registered to your vehicle. You will pay a prorated fee of your vehicle registration to establish one month and year of expiration. So if your current registration expires in 6/2011 (since you just renewed your registration) you would pay 1 or 2 months of prorated fees. The county will issue you a 15 day temporary tag and give you your new windshield sticker. The plates will be mailed directly to you.
