PREPARATION AND PLANNING PROJECT

IFSEA COMPETITION

The IFSEA competition is a required catering project. It will be counted as ½ your exam grade.

Preparation and planning is the key ingredient to your success at this competition. The preparation and planning portion of this competition is a project in and of itself, separate and apart from the exam grade you will get from competing.

Answer the following questions about your ifsea entry. Your work must be typewritten and must include drawings, pictures or illustrations of your plan. Copy the questions and their numbers before each answer.

  1. What is the class name and number of your entry:

  3. In complete sentences describe how you will present your entry. Use pictures and drawings to explain your ideas.
  4. Include all recipes you will use in your entry. In complete sentences in your own words write a detailed STEP BY STEP explanation of how you will make your product(s).
  5. List the ingredients you plan to use from school to make your project and display. Remember to tape a note to each ingredient you plan on using with your name, the amount of the ingredient you will use, and the word “IFSEA”.
  6. List the ingredients you plan to bring from home/purchase yourself to make your project and display.
  7. List the dishes, accessories, and table coverings that you will bring from home to plate and set up your display

  9. Approximately how much money, if any, will you have to spend on your project? Print and attach a shopping list from farmfreshmarkets.com to show how much your ingredients will cost.
