Announcements

The Chancel flowers are given to the Glory of God:

In celebration of Caitlyn Nolff’s 5th birthday.

In honor of the 47th wedding anniversary of

George and Jannet Low.

Paul and Sue Stanifer suffered a devastating fire Thanksgiving week, destroying essentially everything they own. Several church members and others have inquired as to how to help them in this time of need, and so we have created a restricted account entitled the Stanifer Assistance Fund. Anyone can donate to it by simply writing the Fund name on the memo portion of a check or a note accompanying the donation. Please keep them in your prayers.

Childcare is provided for children, 4 years old and younger in the nursery on Sundays during worship service.

Don’t forget that any gifts that you have for our Salvation Army families need to be at the church by 11:00 a.m. on December 18th. Also, there are still some empty slots on the family wish lists, so please check out what is still needed and sign up.

U CARE – Friday, December 16th – Holiday Party - please note change of date. If you are willing to make a holiday treat for the kids, that would be much appreciated! We usually have 15 youth at the most.

UMYF will be caroling this evening at 6:00 p.m.

TAG: Targeted Act of Gratitude. Something nice you say or do for someone, "just because." A lot of this is going around; watch out for it! You could be the TARGET!

Calling all college students, (and trade schools too). St. Paul’s Scholarship applications are now available at the church office, on the table outside the office or online. Applicants should have finished at least one semester at a college, university or trade school, in good standing, and be a member or closely associated with St. Paul’s. Applications, along with a copy of the students last term grades, must be returned to the church office by January 22, 2017. Awards will be distributed in February.

The SLATE! will be out Sunday, December 18th. Just in time for Christmas! Lots of great information about this wonderful place we call our spiritual home, St. Paul’s UMC. You don’t want to hear about your name/picture in the newsletter from a friend when you can read it yourself, first! Did you know that the Slate! is available on-line at St. Paul’s website stpaulsumcmonroe.org?

2017 Calendars, compliments of Bacarella Funeral Home, are available on the table near the office.
