7)ACCORDoffersvarioushomeownerrehabilitationgrants.Notallofthesegrantswillcovertheentirerehabilitationcost.Somegrantsrequiretheapplicant(homeowner)tocontributefundstowardrehabilitationcost.
8)Ifthepropertytaxesarenotcurrent,ifthemortgageisnotcurrent,orifthehomeownerdoesnothavehomeowner’sinsurance,theapplicant(homeowner)isnoteligibleforassistance.
9)Applicants (Homeowners) applying for rehabilitation grants must meet incomeand asset eligibilityrequirements.Grossincomeandtotalofallassets – oftheentirehousehold(allmembers) – is consideredincome – verificationofallincome and assetswill berequired.
10)ACCORDmaintains awaitinglist for rehabilitationgrants.Upon receiptofthispreliminaryapplication,theapplicantwillbeplacedonthewaitinglist.Thecurrentapproximatewaittimeistwo(2)tothree(3)years.Thelengthofthewaitmayincreaseordecreasedependingonavailabilityofgrantfunds.
11)Applicantsonthewaitinglistwillbecontactedonanannualbasistoupdatetheinformationcontainedinthispreliminaryapplication.Applicants may be notified through the US Postal Service, so it is important that applicants update ACCORD immediately in writing upon a change of mailing address.
12)Whenanapplicant’s name is reached on the waiting list,theapplicantwill receivea fullapplicationpackage through the US Postal Service, so it is important that applicants update ACCORD immediately in writing upon a change of mailing address.
13)Verificationofanyoftheinformationcontainedinthispreliminaryapplicationisnotrequiredatthistime.Verificationwillberequesteduponreceiptofthefullapplicationpackage.
