June 27, Saturday

  • 09.00 Departure to the village Rubcheila
  • Excursion around the historic village, visit of the National Center of Karelian people “Sjamozerje”. Excursion around the house-museum. Folk programme. Tea-drinking with Karelian pastry.
  • Moving to the historic village Kinerma. Excursion around the historic village, visit of the ethno-cultural center. Excursion around the exhibition “Life in Kinerma”. Lunch with Karelian dish.
  • Return to Petrozavodsk. Accommodation in the hotel.
  • Cultural programme - events devoted to the celebration of the City day.

June 28, Sunday

  • Departure to the Kizhi island. Excursion around the open-air Kizhi museum.

This is an unique historical, cultural and natural complex enlisted on the List of the Most Significant Cultural Heritage Sites of the People of the Russian Federation. The basis of the museum collection is the architectural ensemble of the Kizhi Pogost included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO.

June 29, Monday

  • 12.00 Departure to outer excursion with visit of the first Russian spa “Martial waters”, Peter Apostol church and Waterfall “Kivach”.

The first Russian spa was founded after the decree of Peter the Great in 1719. In 1946 the Peter the Great museum was founded there. The exhibition dedicated to the history of the first Russian spa tells about the first Russian spa, about its oblivion after the Peter's the Great death and its revival in the ХХ century.

The wooden Church of St. Peter was built in 1721 according to the Peter the Great`s project and drawings. The church building and the belfry are covered with domes and pyramidal spires. A two-tier iconostasis with the 14 icons and wooden embellishments dating back to the 18th century, the carved wooden candlesticks made by Peter the Great and two original iron stoves cast in the Petrovsky plant are still well preserved. Nowadays it is working as a sanatorium with four medical sources - each source treats different illnesses.

  • Visit of the Kivach museum-reserve, one of the largest plain waterfall. Picnic in the Kivach museum.
  • Departure to Kondopoga city.
  • Visit of the Blessed Virgin church. Programme in the palace of arts (concert of organ music or chorus).
  • Return to Petrozavodsk.
  • Departure to Olonets region. Visit of the Vazeozersky monastery.
  • Moving to the historic village Olonets. Accomodation in the hotel “Olonia”.

June 30, Tuersday

  • Breakfast in the hotel.
  • Excursion around the city. Visiting of Kuttuev House.
  • Excursion around the village Bolshaya Selga, traditional ceremony, master-classes. Tea-drinking with Karelian pastry.
  • 17.00 departure to Alexander-Svirsky Monastery. Excursion around the monastery.

It is situated in Leningrad Oblast, just south from its border with the Republic of Karelia. The golden age of this cloister falls in the 17th century.

  • 20.00 departure to Lodeynoe pole to the railway station or return to Petrozavodsk.

The cost of the tour is 250 euro.
