Subject: Continuing Education Program at Nagpur held by Practicing Valuers Association [ India ] on 13th ,14th and 15th August 2017 for professionals.
Dear Sir ,
You are well aware that New Indian Government took few firm steps in the direction of Globalization
3 years before. One such step was to change eventually financial year from “April to March” to “January to December” at par with many other countries.
Second step is planned to introduce Indian Accounting Standards at par with / modeled on “International Financial Reporting Standards” to support Indian companies to deal with their counter parts in other nations in trade commerce and industries . It will help in SPV , Mergers , acquisitions , imports and exports .
Legal frame work that is required for this new standard required “Valuation standards” acceptable not only with in India but it required Valuation standards at par with International Standards to resolve many issues in trade commerce and industries as well as infrastructure ,banking and insurance sector.
Realizing this, The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India has appointed ICAI to form the Indian Valuation Standards (IND-VS) for both Tangible as well as intangible assets. ICAI has formed an India Valuation Committee, which is in the process of preparing the IND-VS. The Committee has adopted the International
Valuation Standards (IVS-2017) which are the copy right of and periodically reviewd by the International Valuation Standard Council with the consent and permission of IVSC for certain changes to the IVS – 2017 with reference to Indian Context. IVSC is established in US with the office of its present CEO operating out of the UK.
Practicing Valuers Association [ India ] realized that it is necessary to present the total panorama to all professionals in the field of valuation in trade commerce , industries as well as infrastructure , banking and insurance sector . Therefore PVAI has invited professionals [ involved ] to present their respective views / papers for the benefit of all concerned at Continuing Education Program at Nagpur held by Practicing Valuers Association [ India ] on 13th ,14th and 15th August 2017.
