PRACTICE FINAL EXAM FOR ENGLISH 10A

Directions:This practice test will allow you to practice answering the types of questions that may appear on your final exam. The final exam will be multiple-choice in format. You will be tested on everything that was given to you since December 1st. You will be able to use your handouts of the articles/stories and your vocabulary definitions during the test. You will not be allowed to share notes or any other materials during the final exam. There will be approximately 150 questions final. Each question will be worth 2 points, so the final will be worth approximately 300 pts. You will have two hours to complete your final, and the test will end at the end of the period.

You read two articles about the McDonald’s worker who spit into the drinks of two customers. Information was provide about what the worker did and what happened to him, but the reader never got to hear the worker’s side of the story. For your extra-credit assignment, write a description of the incident described in the two articles from the worker’s point of view. Pretend you are the worker, Marvin D. Washington Jr, write a short paragraph for each of the following topics:

(You can be creative and make up situations and incidents, but make sure your story is consistent with the facts that are provided in the articles. Extra-credit will be given to descriptions that are especially creative and/or interesting.)

1. Describe the incidents that took place that caused you to spit into the drinks of the customers.
