TacoVent Twin – The air and dirt separator combination from Taconova for heating systems
Keeping heating water clean in circulation
Clean heating water is regarded as a key condition for efficient, fault-free operation of modern heating systems. For this reason, valves that continuously filter air and impurities out of heating water are in high demand.
Taconova is extending its valves and accessories portfolio to include air and dirt separators. A range of new valves, including combined multi-functional valves are now available. One of the new products is the TacoVent Twin multi-functional valve. The two main functions of this new product are the separation of air as well as dirt from the heating water using I-Ring technology. These random packings inside the valve body filter air and dirt out of the system.
As a result, the lifetime of valves, pipes and pumps increases. The filtering of unwanted elements from the heating water also allows better heat transfer, thereby improving the energy efficiency of the entire system.
The roots of separation technology with random packings are found in the refinery industry, where it has proven its worth for many decades now. "The benefits of separation with I-Rings include the minimal loss of pressure in the system coupled with high separation performance. This also means that no unnecessarily high pumping power is required," explains René Freudrich, Head of Product Management at Taconova Group AG.
Ventilation is provided by means of a float air vent, which has proven itself over many years and is also used in the TacoVent HyVent standard automatic vent. While the air rises and is automatically removed from the system by a ventilating valve, the separated impurities and particles sink into the lower section of the housing and can be removed using a drain valve.
Extended valves and accessories product range
Taconova will be presenting its extended range of products in the valves and accessories product group with its combined air and dirt separator at the ISH 2015 trade fair. The TacoVent Twin valve combination is available in a dimension of DN20. The range of air separators offered in the Taconova air vent product range come in dimensions of DN 20 to DN 100. Dirt separators are available separately in dimensions of DN 20to DN32.
