POSTYoung People’s Service Coordinator

HOURS35 hours (5 days a week)

SALARY£32,480 (FTE)

REPORTING TOSenior Young People’s Service Coordinator

Note: Post-holder will be required to work on Mondays

AIMS OF POST

  1. Share some of the Responsibility for the day-to-day Management of the Young People’s Therapy Service
  2. To play a key role in the delivery of the agreed strategies for the young people’s service
  3. Assist in Managing the delivery of the clinic and school based services
  4. Line manage an agreed number of the YP therapists
  5. Play a role in the development of new aspects of the young people’s service
  6. Manage specific aspects of individual psychotherapy case and other project work
  7. To take a lead role in the development and delivery of the Harm Prevention Program
  8. To take a lead in the development and delivery of User Participation groups

CLINICAL

  1. Case manage a clinical load of therapy clients
  2. Attend and contribute to clinical supervision sessions
  3. Responsible along with the senior service coordinator for all referrals coming into the young people’s service
  4. Responsible for the monitoring of all clinical outcomes within the project
  5. Implement effective inter-agency practice - ensuring good lines of communication between therapy and the client’s support network

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  1. To work in joint-partnership with key stakeholders in the delivery of service
  2. To implement effective monitoring and evaluation of the service’s strategic aims and objectives
  3. To participate in external evaluations into young people with learning disabilities and violence prevention
  4. To design and promote publicity and accessible literature that advertises the project across various communities and sectors
  5. To establish key links with new partners and to promote the service within the learning disabilities field
  6. Ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with the Child Protection guidelines and polices
  7. Prepare reports and other documentation for trustees, funders, partners and stakeholders

TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

  1. To help devise and deliver training seminars for professionals, family members and carers
  2. To help devise and deliver training courses for professionals on children and adolescents with learning disabilities, trauma, violence, psychotherapy and education and harm prevention

LINE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Line manage a number of the young people’s therapists

GENERAL

  1. Work to Respond’s policies and procedures, particularly in regard to Equal Opportunities, Confidentiality and Child Protection
  2. Attend staff meetings
  3. To demonstrate professional accountability at all times
  4. To practice within the professional codes of conduct as laid down by the UKCP
