PostICT Apprentice (TTO 195 days)

Responsible to Headteacher or designated member of staff

Main Duties of the Post

Under the direction/instruction of senior staff: support the use of ICT within the School environment through maintenance of ICT software, hardware and related equipment, whilst providing support to staff and pupils.

  • Work alongside experienced ICT technicians to deliver valuable assistance to teachers and pupils using some of the latest technology
  • Assist ICT technicians in the day to day development and maintenance of the School ICT Network
  • Comply with and assist ICT technicians with the development of ICT Policies and Procedures within school, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
  • Work alongside ICT technicians in Hardware/Software maintenance
  • Together with the other support staff create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and productive working environment
  • Check and maintain stocks of ICT consumables

Responsibilities

  • Be aware of, and comply with, policies and procedures relating to child protection, health safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
  • Be aware of and support difference and ensure equal opportunities for all
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school

  • Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required.
