Post Title:International Officer

Main Purpose of the Post:

To assist the Head of Internationalisation in delivering the College’s internationalisation programme with a particular focus on international student recruitment.

This will include international agency liaison, planning and delivering marketing communications for international markets including using digital media,website enhancement and maintenance in cooperation with Marketing Colleagues. It will also encompass the assessment and validation and processing of international studentapplications from enquiry stagethrough the application processto enrolment and beyond.

The post holder will also administer and promote a range of international student and staff mobility opportunities including Erasmus +.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the lead administrator to support, co-ordinate and on occasions, manage a range of activities and events which fall under the remit of Internationalisation.
  2. Provide general administrative support to the Head of Internationalisation; including assistance with reports, communications, enquiries, travelarrangements, appointments and meetings support.
  3. Liaise closely with Marketing and Admissions and Student Support and generally play a proactive role promoting international recruitment across the College.
  4. Plan and deliver international marketing campaigns ensuring that all activity is measurable and has maximum impact.
  5. Create and update international promotional materials including website, brochures and newsletters with a focus on using digital and social media to support the College’s international recruitment.
  6. To arrange and support various events including partner visits, open days, international recruitment fairs and promotional events.
  7. Ensure effective and regular communication with and support to international agents and representatives worldwide in support of student recruitment.
  8. Work closely with the marketing team to ensureinternational marketing is integrated with general marketing, website and social media activities.
  9. Co-ordinate with the Alumni Officer to generate and maintain useful contact with former students in support of international recruitment activity.
  10. Support the development, delivery and maintenance of a robust and efficient international admissions process which deliver against international recruitment targets.
  11. Processing all international (non–EU) applications, checking qualifications and assessment compliance with College entry criteria; including; academic qualifications, English Language requirements, portfolio, visa compliances, assessment of fee status etc., liaising with all stakeholders and progressing through to enrolment.
  12. Work closely with colleagues ensuring that Tier 4 compliance is embedded throughout the business processes of the College.
  13. Hold regular and purposeful communications with enquirers, applicants and business partners who play an integral part of the conversion process.
  14. With the International Welfare Officer support the welcome and transition of incoming international students.
  15. Administer and promote the Erasmus and other student and staff exchange schemes, providing timely reports and formal returns,supporting partnership liaison and student engagement.
  16. Reporting on international enquiry, application and student data to helpensure target numbers are monitored and secured.

  3. To assist with other administrative duties within the College such as reception if required.
