1.  IDENTIFICATION OF POST

Post Title: Father Christmas

Function: To play the role of Father Christmas with energy, professionalism and Christmas spirit.

Responsible To: Events & Communications Manager

2.  PURPOSE OF POST:

To meet and greet children and their families in a jovial fashion ensuring each child has a magical and memorable visit to Santa’s Grotto and Brockholes.

Acting experience or previous experience of playing a character or role. / √
Ability to get into character and remain jovial, happy and entertaining at all times whilst the Grotto is open. / √
Experience of engaging, interacting and relating to children and their families. / √
Experience of working with the public in a customer service focused role. / √

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Salary: £9.50 - £10.00 per hour, depending on previous experience

Pension: N/A

Hours of Work: 10 hours per week (5 hours per day, working Saturday and Sunday during the 3 weekends before Christmas). Hours/Days may be extended subject to demand.

Duration of post: To the 21st December 2014.

Holidays: Accrued and paid at 12.07% on any hours worked.

Place of work: Brockholes Nature Reserve, Preston New Road, Samlesbury, Preston, PR5 0UL
