Post:Project Manager

Salary:£26,543

Pension:5% of annual salary

Hours:37 hours per week (possibility of hours reducing to 30 per week from June 2018)

Location: Based at Live Inclusive office with some flexible working and regular travel in Doncaster and Rotherham.

Summary of Role

The One in Six and Journey to Employment services operate across Doncaster and Rotherham and aim to increase employment opportunities for disabled people.

The Project Manager will line manage the teams, co-ordinate project delivery, assist with delivery of activities, and ensure that targets and outcomes are achieved.

Specific activities carried out by the project teams include specialist job coaching, peer support groups, training, developing volunteer and work experience opportunities, and working with employers and the Job Centres.

Specific Duties

Main responsibilities:

  1. Line manage the project team members including supervision, performance review and individual work planning.
  1. Plan and co-ordinate project team delivery including team working, planning and performance review.
  1. Develop a toolkit for employer support.
  1. Identify a range of public, private and voluntary sector organisations that will participate in organisational development and that will create new opportunities for volunteering and work experience placements.
  1. Deliver organisational development support to external organisations that will enhance their recruitment and retention of disabled staff and staff with long term conditions. This will include policy review, quality standards development and Disability Equality training.
  1. Provide one to one job coaching support for disabled people and people with long term conditions who wish to access employment.
  1. Monitor individual and team progressand produce monitoring and evaluation reports as required.
  1. Oversee the development of promotional materials for the project and network and develop relationships with key stakeholders.

General requirements

  1. Completing monthly reports and reporting activities to the Chief Executive.
  1. Ensuring that time sheets and records are kept, and that service user records are adequately maintained and stored
  1. Liaising with other Live Inclusive staff members and outside agencies to provide referral and signposting for Service Users where appropriate.
  1. To attend staff meetings and other meetings as required.

In addition He/She will be required to:

To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function commensurate with the grading and level of the responsibilities of the post.

The post holder will be required to work according to the provisions of the Live Inclusive main policy document.

In order for the organisation to achieve its goals, all staff are expected to work co-operatively, contributing to the performance of other functions as appropriate.

Monitoring and Evaluation of the Post

The post will be monitored against set performance indicators laid out in the Project Plan.

The performance of the post holder will be monitored through regular supervision by the Line Manager and reviewed on an ongoing basis with an annual appraisal. Staff expected to produce monthly work reports for monitoring and review by the Chief Executive and Live Inclusive Trustee Board.
