POSITIONPROFILE(JobSummary)

Responsible for full-cycle recruitment and onboarding of newly hired employees, as well as supporting succession, career path planning and other talent retention initiatives for current employees.

ESSENTIALJOBRESPONSIBILITIESANDRESULTS

  • Conducts full cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt positions including drafting of job descriptions, working with hiring managers and Sr. Director to determine compensation range, sourcing and screening of applicants, maintenance of applicant tracking system, drafting of offer letters, managing the pre-employment testing process and onboarding to hire.
  • Along with management develops and maintains master staffing and recruitment plan.
  • Attends job fairs and other community events to meet potential candidates and increase the company’s visibility among candidates.
  • Tracks recruiting efforts and candidate information using applicant tracking system. Maintains and recommends enhancements to company ATS to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Processes new hires, status changes and terminations in the HRIS system as well as managing related paper and electronic files. Generates reports as needed.
  • Develops and maintains library of job descriptions. Works with managers to ensure job descriptions accurately reflect primary job duties and are kept up-to-date.
  • Proactively develops, recommends and assists with the implementation of new HR initiatives, procedures, training materials and documentation related to recruitment and retention.
  • Facilitates training on various recruitment and retention topics for managers and other HR staff.
  • Provides daily customer support to applicants and managers on recruitment and retention related matters and ensures timely and courteous responses.
  • Administers annual EEO, VETS, and Affirmative Action Plan and reports.
  • Administers company DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing program as well as managing related paper and electronic files. Serves as company DER.
  • Administers pre-employment functional capacity testing program as well as managing related paper and electronic files. Recommends enhancements to improve effectiveness.
  • Administers, analyzes and reports exit interview data.
  • Manages new employee orientation and recommends enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS(Education,ExperienceandCertifications)

  • Five(5)years'HumanResourcesexperience, preferably in recruiting.
  • Bachelor'sdegreepreferred.
  • HumanResourcescertificationpreferred(i.e.PHR,SPHR,SHRM-CP,SHRM-SCP).
  • Excellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskills.
  • Two(2)years’experienceinthetransportationindustrypreferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of multi-state labor rules along with a strong familiarity of federal and state regulations including FLSA, FMLA, state specific leave laws and paid leave time laws, COBRA, HIPPA, ADA, and the OFCCP required.
  • Experience with DOT Drug & Alcohol Programs desired.
  • Strong computer skills required including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must have previous experience maintaining an ATS system as well as generating reports.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with HR team members on projects and initiatives.
  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented with strong time-management skills.
