2 Year Contract Position

Canada’s best loved children’s charity is seeking aRelationship Development Manager to expand success in fund development, marketing/communications and community relations activities in order to sustain and expand programs and services of Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies in the province of Ontario.

Position Summary

The Relationship Development Manager (RDM) is responsible for fund development, marketing/communications and community relations activities to sustain and expand programs and services of Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies in Ontario.

The RDMwill achieve the fund development goals of this collaborative, and will work in concert with all other fund development work across the province.

Consistent liaison and prospect clearing will take place regularly, with local and national fund development to ensure that all asks are being made by the most appropriate group.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Fund Development:

  1. Oversee all fund development and marketing/communications efforts relating to collaborative work of agencies in Ontario.
  2. Work with BBBS Ontario Collaborative to develop and monitor annual fundraising plan, fund development budget, and ensure operation in maintained within budgeted guidelines.
  3. Build on Provincial Government relationships as developed by National team to source funding opportunities, prepare proposals and secure funding.
  4. Work with BBBS National Fund Development Team and Ontario BBBS agencydevelopment initiatives to separate provincial leads that could benefit all agencies in province, prepare proposals and secure funding.

Marketing & Communications:

  1. Build on National marketing and communications efforts and assist in promoting Ontario agencies.
  2. Internal Communications – Developing understanding among all agencies in Ontario of the value in fund development, build on the sharing of resources, and provide training or assistance as required.

Reporting & Administration:

  1. Create and present reports to the Executive Committee of the Collaborative, funders and other groups as required.
  2. Administrative duties as required (report writing etc.)
  3. Collaborate and support provincial committees working on behalf of BBBS Ontario agencies as required

Qualifications

  • Commitment to the mission, vision and values of Big Brothers Big Sisters
  • Minimum five years of demonstrated high‐level fund development success in not for profit environment
  • Strong time management and presentation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and high‐level proficiency in use of standard information technologies.
  • CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) certification is desirable.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required by work demands
