Position Title:Partnership and Incoming Grant Coordinator

Reports To:Managing Director

Job Summary:

The Partnership and Incoming Grant Coordinator is a flexible position with the potential for professional growth. Two-thirds of this position’s time will be focused on assisting program staff with partnership relations, special events, special projects, meetings and communications. The remaining one-third of this position’s time will be dedicated to assisting the Executive Director of Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area (FFNHA) with incoming grant responsibilities. The Partnership and Incoming Grant Coordinator position requires attention to detail, flexibility in thinking and in time management and places a premium on communication, creativity, teamwork, and organizational skills in the pursuit of multiple objectives.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Partnership Duties:

  1. Coordinate Partnership Team Information and Engagement. Serves as the “first face” for partnership queries.
  2. Maintain partnership contacts. Develop a regular process of contact with each partner organization.
  3. Coordinate events to include Final Fridays, Awards Luncheon, Partnership Team meetings and Board of Trustees meetings.
  4. Assist with special projects.
  5. Staff FFNHA booths and provide information, maps and other materials at Partner festivals and events as assigned.
  6. Assist with maintaining social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
  7. Assist with maintaining Constant Contact lists and various newsletters.
  8. Maintain FFNHA calendar.
  9. Ensure that Carnegie Building exhibit rooms are opened and closed per regularly scheduled hours and for special events as assigned.
  10. General office duties to include Partnership Team and Board of Trustees meeting minutes, correspondence and filing.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Incoming Grant Duties:

  1. Assists Executive Director with reviewing and locating appropriate grant opportunities for FFNHA.
  2. Develop processes for tracking grant applications, deadlines and fulfillment.
  3. Other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required with emphasis in business, public/non-profit administration, communications, humanities, history/public history, marketing/public relations, education, interpretation, business, management or related field.

  • Experience maintaining databases
  • Experience working with non-profits.
  • Interest in heritage development, history, tourism, interpretation and economic development as it relates to the mission and work of FFNHA.

Equipment Used

Includes, but is not limited to: copier, scanner, computer, printer, digital camera, calculator, multi-media projector, telephone and fax machine.

Other Considerations

Comprehension/application of federal, state, local and private regulations pertaining to the funding Freedom’s Frontier uses to implement its programs, projects and Grants Programs. May require occasional work on evenings/weekends. Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of insurance. In-town and out-of-town travel required including occasional overnight travel. Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.

Starting Salary Range: $27,000 - $30,000 plus benefits.
