Must be technically motivated and maintain a broad knowledge of technology, equipment, industry best practice, trends and/or systems. Gathers information from users, defines work problems, and develops complete specifications and project plans to enable him / herself and other members of the team to implement software solutions.

Key responsibilities;

-  . Technical –

·  Participate in the complete software development cycle from requirements analysis to deployment of the product.

·  Responsible for the software architecture of complex systems

·  Design test strategies in accordance with Agile practices

·  Participate in design and code reviews, documentation of design, and implementation of SDLC methodologies to ensure high quality software

·  Provide end-user problem resolution and support

- Operational -

·  Derive accurate time and resource estimates that allow for on schedule delivery of the product, while meeting the established requirements.

·  Assists in development of the SDLC system and process documentation.

·  Provides technical leadership and supports and mentors other developers

·  Researches and assists in implementation of new methods, tools or processes

Candidates wishing to be considered for this position should have the following qualifications/experience:

Required -

• A strong computing degree

• Experience developing in C#, in a high pressure, fast moving environment

• Strong Microsoft platform knowledge

• Strong software architecture and design skills

• Strong C#, VB.NET, VB6, SQL, SQL Server, AJAX, MVC

• Strong IIS, HTML, CSS, DHTML, JScript

- Desirable -

• Understanding of XP and Agile methods

• Experience of Team Foundation Server

• Understanding of Citrix technologies and virtualisation technologies.

• Experience of test/management platforms

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD or Similar)
