Position:Inside Sales Representative – Aerospace segment

Overall function of the Inside Sales position is receiving incoming customer inquiries via phone and to provide overall service and support direct to the customers and the outside sales and rep staff. To be proactive in all sales related duties to initiate action by customers, reps, and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking incoming phone inquiries direct from customers, area representatives, field personnel and internal offices.
  • Order entry into mainframe computer system.
  • Prepare and issue formal quotations following format designed by sales manager including utilizing quote logging system.
  • Liaise with shop supervisor or appropriate product sale personnel on specific order requirements to insure customer’s needs are met.
  • Follow-up on all open quotations to secure orders and close sales.
  • Backup on phone system to insure calls are answered efficiently and rotate during lunch periods, or when shorthanded because of vacation or sick leave.
  • Follow and implement all ISO procedures and paperwork.
  • Support outside sales staff through literature requests, maintaining rep equipment orders, preparing all quotes generated through outside sales
  • Maintain repair database and repair department files.

Required Capabilities:

  • 2 – 5 years technical sales experience working in a fast paced office environment or College degree in Business, Marketing or related field, preferred
  • Experience working with the Aerospace/Industrial market, preferred. (Ability to pick up on technical terms or ideas & apply them in everyday customer inquiries.
  • Will have strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
  • Computer experience working with Microsoft programs and database software management programs.
  • Must be a strong problem solver with closing skills.
  • Will pay attention to detail and have the ability to follow up with potential clients, reps, and existing customers. Must have ability to handle many tasks at one time and be extremely organized person.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written skills with the ability to work as a team member.
  • Will have a positive attitude with a customer-oriented personality.
