POSITION: FOOD SERVER\BEVERAGE CART SERVER

DEPARTMENT: Wild Bluff Golf Course GRADE: 1 ($4.25-6.38)

4 ($5.00-7.50)

REPORTS TO: Golf Management TeamSTATUS: Non-Exempt

Employees wishing to transfer to golf course positions will be able to maintain health benefits and anniversary date for leave accruals. However, employees WILL NOT be allowed to use vacation time during summer months. At the end of the golf season, employees will be allowed to transfer to other positions, based on availability, or be placed on lay-off. To maintain benefit eligibility, employee must return to full time regular employment at end of season.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Golf Management Team, the position provides efficient and high quality food and cocktail service to all guests of the Wild Bluff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Responsible for prompt, efficient, and courteous service of food and beverages to restaurant guests in accordance with company standards.
  2. Perform necessary tasks to service guests, taking and filling all food and drink orders and assisting in maintaining customers eating area in a clean and neat manner.
  3. Keep work area as clean as possible.
  4. Preparing the restaurant area before each session (fill napkin holders, re-stock sugars, etc., and various other tasks assigned by Food and Beverage Management Team).
  5. Assemble and deliver food orders to customers and collect money for these orders promptly and courteously.
  6. Continuously monitors assigned area for guests requesting beverages.
  7. Collects order from bartender, places beverages on tray, and serves to patron with cocktail napkins.
  8. Responsible for the receipt of monies and the settlement of guests’ checks.
  9. Requests identification from customers when legal age is questioned.
  10. Removes empty or dirty plates, glasses and cans and returns them to the bar or kitchen.
  11. Completes all required set-up duties on time.
  12. Provides exemplary customer service to all patrons of the organization.
  13. Must punch in and out at the beginning and end of each shift using electronic time keeping system.
  14. Responsible for arriving to work station on time, wearing proper uniform.
  15. Cuts off customers who have consumed too much alcohol in accordance to policy and procedure of Bay Mills Resort & Casinos.
  16. Must attend any and all mandatory training offered through the Bay Mills Human Resources Department, including TIPS.
  17. Other duties may be assigned within the scope and complexity of this position’s essential functions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires routine standing, walking, bending, and frequently carrying of items of up to 50 pounds.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent.
  3. One year’s experience as a server in high volume service restaurant desired; experience serving\mixing alcoholic beverages preferred.
  4. Preference will be given to those applicants with prior Wild Bluff experience (within the last 12 months); who ended their previous experience in a positive fashion; i.e. resignation with notice, end of season lay-off or transfer.
  5. Requires the ability to record orders and enter as required into the point-of-sale (POS) computer system.
  6. Experience with handling money such as making change and reconciling daily bank.
  7. TIPS certification preferred; must be able to obtain as a condition of employment.
  8. Must posses a friendly, out-going, and cooperative personality to maintain high standards of strong customer service.
  9. Must have a clean, neat, and professional appearance.
  10. Must be extremely dependable as demonstrated by current work performance and attendance history, as well as an excellent past work history
  11. Must be able to work 30-50 hours per week.
  12. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  13. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each function listed under the essential functions and physical demands categories of this position description.
