Part A: Position Description – Marketing Assistant

Position Objectives

/ ·  To assist the marketing team to professionally produce marketing collateral for RetireAustralia and associated entities including, but not limited to printed and digital material, signage and all associated marketing required for expos and events.
·  To increase RetireAustralia and village brand awareness by the visual use of the company and village logos, consistent imagery and ensuring all marketing collateral is line with the company branding.
·  To establish and maintain effective working relationships with all RetireAustralia employees.
·  To assist the sales team in achieving set targets.

Reporting

And Team Relationships

/ ·  This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager.
·  The holder of the position works closely with other members of the marketing team.
·  The holder of the position will also form working relationships with the General Manager Sales and Marketing, individual village managers, sales consultants and promotions staff to understand their marketing requirements.
·  Liaise with external service providers engaged by RetireAustralia.
·  All staff and management function as a team with an emphasis on sharing the decision making responsibilities with the General Manager Sales and Marketing. This is essential to the overall success of the villages.

Major Challenges

/ ·  Work with other members of the marketing team to generate creative and effective marketing collateral to raise the company’s profile and generate consistent enquiry and sales.
·  Assist in the current ongoing evolution of the RetireAustralia and village brands to ensure that we are regarded as the most prominent brands in the industry.
·  Review competitor marketing material and approaches to ensure that RetireAustralia’s material remains market leading.
·  Maintain a safe working environment by managing all safety issues associated with the Company activities to the highest standards and ensure that all HS&E policies and procedures are adhered to.
Part B: Position Description – Marketing Assistant

Areas / 1. Marketing of individual villas for sale
·  Provide support to the Sales Consultants to market individual pieces of stock – this may include, but is not limited to the production of weekly price lists, web listings and floor plans.
·  Consult with the Sales Consultants to ensure that all information for individual pieces of stock is accurate and photos present well.
·  Ensure that villa for sale marketing is correct in accordance with sales information on Navision and that websites are updated weekly to show ‘deposited’ and ‘settled’ stock.
·  Manage the villa for sale photo galleries to ensure all photos are named correctly and all staff can access the photos via the intranet and Navision.
·  Consult with Graphic Designer and Marketing Manager to ensure that all material produced is visually consistent with the RetireAustralia brand.
·  Consult with the Copywriter to ensure that all material is correct in terms of grammar, style, tone and content.
·  Create campaigns and segments in Navision to enable sales staff to track the response to marketing campaigns.
·  Monitor all incoming website enquiry and ensure it is entered into databases
·  Work with sales team to ensure up-to-date photography of stock coming to market
2. Invoices
·  Ensure all invoices and processed accurately and in a timely manner and data is entered onto relevant spreadsheets for record keeping.
·  Check all coding on marketing invoices sent through from village staff.
·  Review statements and follow up outstanding invoices with accounts to ensure creditors are being paid on time.
3. Social media
·  Post content to social media pages in accordance with the schedule including, but not limited to posts such as feature properties, events, resident testimonials, special events.
·  Manage and maintain company information on company website, social media and external websites.
4. General
·  Continually liaise with the Marketing Coordinator to understand the priority and timeframes of deadlines.
·  Routinely monitor and circulate Vision 6 results and follow up to ensure updated in Navision.
·  Share/present ideas and develop concepts in partnership with the marketing team.
·  Routinely monitor sales database to ensure information is complete and follow up with sales staff where needed.
·  Maintain up to date knowledge of our portfolio and target market.
·  Be available to travel to all retirement villages within the portfolio to assist with marketing initiatives.
·  Maintain up to date knowledge of competitor marketing material.
·  Maintain and efficiently manage company office and equipment.
·  Perform any other duties we may direct or advise from time to time.

Knowledge and/or Experience

Qualifications
Technical and Business Skills and Competencies
Personal Competencies / ·  Demonstrated success in a similar role.
·  Experience in working within the retirement industry an advantage.
·  Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Communications
·  Highly developed visual, verbal and written communication skills.
·  Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, along with Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
·  Attention to detail.
·  Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
