POSITION: Marketing Specialist, Full Time

LOCATION: Clarkesville Campus

Description:

Responsible in writing news releases, feature stories and general copy for marketing materials. Assist with design of college publications including brochures, newsletter, and advertisements. Assist with photos, tour groups, special events, as well as manage social media accounts. Respond to routine inquiries regarding the college. To perform administrativetasks and record newsclippings. Skilled in interpersonal relations, dealing with the public, decision making and problem solving, marketing and social media principles. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree
  • Three (3) years of work related experience
  • Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field AND a minimum of of three (3) years of experience in designing, writing, editing, and maintaining visuals for marketing print and electronic media; experience writing news releases and feature stories; experience with enterprise level social media communications; experience in preparing professional photographs and videos from a wide variety of venues including athletic events, competitions, and award ceremonies, industrial settings, and classrooms. Proficient wit the Adobe media editing suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro.

Salary/Benefits:

Salary commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include retirement, paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
