BIG COURSE
To start after Class 3 finishes – not before 11.30am
CLASS 4(a) 14 years and under ENTRY FEE £15.00

Depending on entries this Class will be split into PC and Open
FIRST AID COVER IS £5 PER COMPETITOR
LATE ENTRY SURCHARGE OF £5 PER RIDER PER HORSE
(should class sizes permit)
PRIZES: A perpetual challenge trophy will be awarded to the highest placed Portman PC member in each class. Rosettes will be awarded to the first 8 in each section. There will also be prizes in kind to those placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class.

COURSE WALK: The course will be open from 2.00p.m. on Saturday 31st August 2014. Please follow signs from Shillingstone or Child Okeford
RULES AND CONDITIONS
1. This competition will be run in accordance with Pony Club rules.
2. Medical arm bands are compulsory for the cross-country. Hat Rule: All competitors must wear an approved hat to a current British standard – A/NZS 3838 1998 or 2003, Snell E2001, PAS 015 1998, 2010 or 2011, EN1384:1996 and BSEN 1384:1997 all with either BSI kitemark, SAI symbol or Snell label with number. Body Protectors must be worn for Cross Country phase.
3. The decision of the judges will be final. Any person wishing to lodge an objection must do so with the Secretary within 30 minutes of the incident, with a deposit of £20which will be returned if the objection is upheld.
4. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel the event or alter timings of phases & to divide or amalgamate classes according to entries.
5. The Organisers reserve the right to retain £5 per entry should the event be cancelled.
6. Entry fees will not be refunded for non-participants, except on receipt of a Doctors or Vets certificate. No entry fee will be refunded for withdrawals after 28th August.
7. No horse/pony may compete more than once in a class and in more than three classes including pairs.
8. The small course will be judged on style.
9. The big course will have a short timed section.
10. Pairs will be judged on style at dressing fences. Fences will be marked on the map.
11. Neither the Organisers, nor the Landowners, nor any person acting on their behalf shall be responsible for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever.
12. HEALTH & SAFETY - The Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure Health & Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instruction of the Organisers and all the Officials and Stewards.
13. DOGS TO BE KEPT ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES.
14. Number bibs will not be provided. A few will be available to purchase on the day, as will medical armbands.
