Portfolio Requirements for E2 Program
To complete the E2 program for this year you must complete a portfolio and submit it by May 4 All students will submit the portfolio to meet the requirements for APES. Seniors, you will submit the portfolio and if approved, you will receive your cord at graduation. The portfolio will be reviewed by the E2 teachers and should contain the following:
Students currently in APES
- Table of Contents
- One Letter of Reflection (see list below for requirements of reflection letter)
- Paragraphs summarizing at least two of the lectures
- Listing of events you participated in as a volunteer with a paragraph (3 to 4 sentences? describing the event.
Students not currently in APES
- Table of Contents
- One Letter of Reflection (see list below for requirements of reflection letter)
- Paragraphs summarizing at least two of the lectures
- Research on the environmental activities, organizations, or extracurriculars at the college they plan to attend. Provide 3 pieces of evidence from your search.
- Listing of events you participated in as a volunteer with a paragraph (3 to 4 sentences) describing the event.
Your portfolios should be professional including everything typed and presented in a 1 or 1½ inch binder.
Letter of Reflection
Your portfolios should have a letter of reflection in the front. The letter should be a business letter format, 1 to 2 pages single spaced, and 11 font. This letter should outline the following items:
1st year reflection letter – Non-Seniors
A summary of three to four points that you have learned from being part of the E2 program. These points can be something from the course or something you learned about yourself.
- Comment on how you have changed your behavior to be a better environmental citizen. Provide at least 2 ways you have changed.
- State how you plan to use what you have learned in the future.
- State how you are going to contribute to the SRVHS community in the coming year with regards to the environment.
Last year APES or 1st year reflection letter - Seniors
- Comment on how you have changed your behavior to be a better environmental citizen. Provide at least 2 ways you have changed.
- State how you plan to use what you have learned in the future.
- What are your hopes for the future of California?
- How do you think things are going to evolve in the environment over the next 10 years?
