Your portfolio will be your homepage, part of your homepage or linked to your personal homepage on the wiki.
Your portfolio must include:
Table of contents (this may be links to your texts)
Self-assessment
Open choice essay
Argument essay
American Definition Essay
Family Essay
5 % of your final exam grade will come from the written exam given during
finals.
5% of your final exam grade will come from evaluation of your 4 major essays
(THESE ESSAYS WILL BE RE-EVALUATED HOLISTICALLY USING THE 6+1 TRAITS OF WRITING AS A GUIDE—YOUR OVERALL SCORE WILL NOT BE LOWER THAN THE TOTAL OF YOUR PREVIOUS TOTALS FOR FINAL DRAFTS: IE., IF YOU RECEIVED A 75/80/85/80 ON YOUR FINAL DRAFTS, THE LOWEST TOTAL FOR THE ESSAYS AS A WHOLE WOULD BE THE AVERAGE, OR 80)

SPECIFIC PURPOSE: To provide a general introduction to the essays in your portfolio and reveal your insights into your writing process, and/or the writing process you followed to create your specific essays in the portfolio, and/or the writing process in general.
AUDIENCE: Anyone who would be reading your essays or interested in your writing process.
STYLE/STRUCTURE: Reflective. Tone, organizational strategy and genre to be determined by content, purpose and audience.
Self-Assessments will be evaluated using the 6+1 traits scoring guide.
Evaluation—

50—All required components of the portfolio are easily accessible. Portfolio is well designed and allows for easy navigation to specific components. Portfolio is constructed in a way that shows creativity and care.
40-- All required components of the portfolio are accessible. Portfolio is fairly well designed and allows for somewhat easy navigation to specific components. Portfolio is constructed in a way that shows some care.
30-- All required components of the portfolio are accessible. Navigation to specific components may sometimes be difficult. Portfolio is constructed in a way that shows creativity and care but oversights in design or construction may reveal lack of attention to detail.
20-- All required components of the portfolio are easily accessible. Navigation to specific components is difficult. Portfolio is constructed in a way that may show little care or attention to detail.
10—Many required components of the portfolio are not accessible. Navigation to specific components is difficult or impossible. Portfolio is constructed in a way that shows little care or attention to detail.
