Abiding Savior Lutheran Church

Rev. David Eck, Pastor, Wedding Coordinator

Cell: 828-505-5229

Abiding Savior Lutheran Church is a community of faith that values stewardship of our shared resources. In thanksgiving and celebration of our facilities, we invite couples to pledge their commitment to each other in traditional weddings or Holy Unions. We ask that the couple understand and respect the Welcome and Mission Statements of our congregation:

Welcome Statement

Mission Statement

"We are a diverse church united by a deep love of Jesus and a heart for service in the community. We are dedicated to being a sanctuary (safe-haven) for all of God's people. "

------

The Process:

1.The couple should contact the church Wedding Coordinator to determine if the desired date is available on the church calendar.

2.The couple must set up a meeting (in person or a phone consultation) with the church Wedding Coordinator, Rev. David Eck, 828-505-5229, Pastor Dave will schedule a walk-through of the facilities with the couple and help them determine their needs for the ceremony and rehearsal.

3. When the signed contract, and $100.00 non-refundable deposit, is submitted to the Wedding Coordinator your date is officially reserved on the church calendar.

The person or persons entering into the contract must be of legal age (18 or older) and will be considered the responsible party/parties for the event. The original signed agreement is kept on file in the church office.

Our Traditions:

Though we respect all religious traditions we are a Christian church. You will find symbols of our faith adorning our sanctuary including: crosses, banners, and baptism font. We ask that these symbols of our faith not be removed from our worship space. Because we believe that God’s grace is available to all, if you wish to incorporate Holy Communion in your wedding ceremony we ask that you also offer this Holy meal to all guests present. To give you an idea of how the sanctuary may look on your special day please be aware we follow the cycle of the church year. This cycle dictates the color of banners and special worship table coverings.
