Policy for LED Sign Messages

The LED signs on each of the three main campuses are promotional and informational tools designed to inform primarily students, and additionally faculty and staff, about CCRI events and activities. Messages posted should be of general interest to students, faculty, and staff, relating directly to CCRI events, policies, meetings, etc.

·  Information directly benefiting students will receive top priority. Such information may announce support services; social, club or athletic events; or academic (e.g. registration) information.

·  Other appropriate events will be considered, at the discretion of the public relations office, on a space-available basis.

The following types of notices will not be permitted:

·  Personal notices (Congratulations, etc.)

·  Messages promoting groups, organizations or events not endorsed by the college. All student group submissions must be signed and/or submitted by the appropriate advisor.

Procedure for Requesting Sign Messages

Requests should be made, using the attached form, to Lori Gelinas at least one week prior to the dates requested.

·  Messages will be posted for 7 days only – please plan your starting date and your submission accordingly with your event.

·  Requests will be filled in order of the above-listed priorities.

·  The Public Relations Office reserves the right to refuse to display any message deemed not to meet the guidelines above.
