Police request help to identify high end burglar hitting west metro

May 26, 2011 (MINNEAPOLIS) The Minneapolis Police Department has developed photographs of a man they believe is responsible for at least five sophisticated high end burglaries here in Minneapolis and a number of other burglaries in Edina, Minnetonka, Wayzata and Plymouth.

The Minneapolis cases, which began in January and were last seen in April, all involved the compromising of alarm systems to gain entry and then the burglar making off with jewelry, cash, checkbooks and high end electronics. In one case the suspect tried to compromise a security camera system. Most of the cases appear to have taken place during the day or when residents were away for an extended period of time.

If anyone recognizes the suspect in these photos or can provide any information in these cases you are asked to call Sergeant James Jensen of the Minneapolis Police Department’s Fifth Precinct Property Crimes Unit at 612-673-5587.

The PIO contact for this release is Sgt. William Palmer.
