Opening statements with Dave and Chad

Interview with Brad Brisco:

Questions:

Talk about your journey in church planting and what has led you to where you are in Kansas City.

One of the things you talk a lot about is the Cultural Distance paradigm and how we as the church, in essence, expect lost people to be missionaries to come to us. Unpack the cultural distance paradigm and it’s impact for the church.

I know one of the places you have seen this cultural distance manifested is in being foster parents. Share how as a family you have engaged in foster parenting for the purpose of mission.

You’ve done a lot of work with Hugh Halter on Bivo-Church Planting. Talk about the growing need and necessity of planting more intentionally in the Marketplace.

Let’s talk about the books you’ve written with Lance Ford, especially the new one coming out in August.

If you had one final word/challenge to church planters, what would it be?

-Top one or two books that have had the most impact on you: Shaping of Things to Come by Alan Hirsch and Michael Frost and Forgotten Ways by Alan Hirsch
