House of UsherAnalysis
With a partner or alone, you will read the excerpts from “The Fall of the House of Usher.” Your job is to then illustrate the setting and atmosphere in “The Fall of the House of Usher” with an original art piece, and then write a justification of how your art illustrates mood/atmosphere using textual evidence.
The art rubric is below as follows and will be used for both the external and internal realms of the setting:
- The illustration clearly shows the physical setting as described by the text.(25)
- The illustration clearly reflects the historical and geographical setting as described by the text. (20)
- The illustration uses color, line, value, etc that reflect the mood of the setting. (25)
- The illustration is complete and ready to be displayed and not hastily completed on a piece of copy paper. (25)
