These classes can be taken together as a series or can be taken individually as half-day topic specific workshops. If taken as a series, these classes cover all of the topics required for our Check Certification Program. Participants may choose to take the Certification Review teleseminar and sit for the certification examination.

Each session is a Half Day Workshop with the morning session being 9:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. and the afternoon session being 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Seminar includes a history and the required components of a check, check processing regulations, forward and return processing and a review of how to assist staff in identify fraudulent checks.

Seminar will cover types of fraud in the consumer and corporate check world, how your organization can take preventative steps and tools to use, new account procedures, review of actual situations and much more.

Seminar looks at the applications, eligibility requirements, the rules and the benefits of electronic check conversion to ACH.

Seminar will provide an overview fo the necessary steps financial institutions must remember when processing image exchange and/or remote deposit capture, and review the proper handling of expedited recredit procedures and breach of warranty claims for disputes.

Seminar will cover the requirements of the Expedited Funds Availibility Act, examine the impact of the regulation to both the front- and back-office processing operations of your financial institution, and provide the guidance needed in dealing with check returns.
