☐Best Overall – Must be of Japan origin (anime, manga, tokusatsu – ie. Power Rangers or Godzilla – or games). Awarded to the most outstanding competitor over all fields. Competitors will be judged on costume, presentation, character accuracy and execution.

☐Best Constructed – Must be 60% constructed by the wearer.Entries will be judged higher in respect to the quality and percentage of handmade element throughout their cosplay.Competitors will be judged on costume, presentation, character accuracy and execution.

☐Best Compiled – May be bought, compiled or made from altered street clothes. Competitors will be judged on costume, presentation, character accuracy and execution.

☐Best Group– Awarded to the best group of cosplayers. Competitors will be judged on how well the characters relate to each other, their costumes, character accuracy and character interaction.

☐Newcomer – Awarded to best first time Cosplay Competition competitor. Competitors entering this category must acknowledge that they have never entered any other Cosplay Competitions around New Zealand.
