Canby Jamboree

Our 12th Annual Youth Lacrosse Jamboree(Canby Jam) is set for Saturday, May 19th.This event is our BIG fundraiser and helps deflect costs immensely. We've had as many as 54teams in prior years!

This is definitely "all-hands-on-deck" event where we need the parents of our players to pitch in for short shifts of work. Kyle Millar is going to be coordinating volunteer assignments through the team parents of each team.

We do expect at least one parent (or other adult relative-type person) to work during the day - even if your son is unable to participate for some reason. When we all pitch in, the work can be fun and rewarding. So, when you are asked about working, please step up enthusiastically. It's going to be a great day for all and you will play no small part in making that so.

Lax to the Max Night

CanbyLacrosse will have our Annual Youth Night (Lax to the Max) on April 4th. We are asking all players to come watch the high school team and wear their uniform. JV and Varsity times TBA.

Referees

MOST Lacrosse Referees ARE HIGH SCHOOL KIDS, so please keep that in mind. It is quite difficult for referees to see everything on the field, they will miss things and make incorrect calls. It is part of the game and it is a great opportunity for the kids to learn how to play through adversity.Whatever happens, the referees should not be verbally harassed by the players or spectators.Such harassment sets a bad example for the players.

The NEED to Volunteer

We usually have two team parents for each team. This involves handing out and collecting uniforms, collecting waivers, communication, etc. If you are interested, please let your coach know.

As most of you know the Jamboree is our big fundraiser if you would like to be more hands on please contact Kyle Millar at

Free time at Ackerman

Please remind your child not to play lacrosse wallball against the walls at Ackerman or Lee Elementary. We have been warned several times by the School District not to use their buildings. At Lee you can use the undercover area, you must be aware of not hitting the door only the wall. We love that the players are getting together after school and practicing on their own but please give them simple reminders during the season.

Select Tryouts
