Scams Awareness Month is an important and popular event in the year of <insert name of local Citizens Advice>.

Each year millions of people in the UK fall prey to scammers. Sometimes the impact is ruinous with people losing their savings in the space of a telephone conversation, the click of a mouse or the stroke of a pen.

The message this year to consumers is: listen to your gut feeling by acting on concerns, getting advice from the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline 03454 04 05 06, reporting scams to Action Fraud 0300 123 2040 and telling family and friends about scams.

You can help us to raise awareness of Scams Awareness Month and create a confident community of consumers able to spot scams by:
