SIZE RESTRICTIONS

Works submitted for entry are subject to a size restriction due to the availability of display space. The following guidelines must be adhered to:

Two dimensional work should not exceed 3m(h) x 2m(w)

Three dimensional work should not exceed 2 x 2 x 2m.

MIRROR PLATES

For security reasons all two-dimensional work MUST BE MIRROR PLATED on the vertical sides. (Mirror plates can be obtained from art shops, DIY stores and most hardware shops, see illustration).

N.B. The Gallery does not accept liability for the deterioration of work which is constructed of any inherently non-durable or unstable materials or if change or decay is in any way an intended feature of the work and its integral materials; the Gallery will not attempt to prevent deterioration attributable to this.

The artist will be informed immediately in any event of damage or deterioration of the work.

In the instance of electronically powered artworks, we require written evidence that work has been PAT tested.

SALE OF WORK

All work entered in to the exhibition must be for sale. The Gallery will handle payments on behalf of the artist and will invoice the artist for commission + VAT on commission at the end of the show. The actual selling price must be stated on the form and no other price must appear on or with the artwork. When deciding the selling price, please remember that the Art Gallery & Museum will take 30% commission from that price plus VAT.

DISPOSAL OF LATE COLLECTIONS

Storage of selected and unselected artworks will be problematic for us. A charge of £10 per day will be made for storage of selected and unselected works not collected on time.

The Art Gallery & Museum reserves the right to dispose of works which are not picked up by the specified collection dates. This applies to both unselected works not picked up by Saturday 9 May 2015 and exhibited works not collected by Tuesday 14 July 2015.

Disposal of works will take place one month after specified collection dates. The artist will be informed of this action in writing.

TRANSPORT

The entrant is responsible for collection and delivery of work. If delivery or collection is entrusted to someone else, that person must bring a letter signed by the artist authorising them to collect the work; this signature must match the signature on the entry form. The Art Gallery & Museum will not hand over works without seeing this documentation.

PARKING

Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum does not have a designated car park. However there is nearby street parking in surrounding areas. This is generally charged at an hourly rate, and is usually a maximum stay of two hours car parking. There is off street parking in the multi storey car park (St. Peter’s car park) which is situated opposite the Apollo cinema. This is also charged at an hourly rate, but is open all day.
