Leeds City Council is introducing a permit scheme to allow free parking fur Ultra low emission vehicles (ULEV).
This will apply in any Council operated pay and display space, on street or in car parks, provided the permit is displayed. However other rules such as maximum stay still apply. Most on street spaces are 2 hours maximum stay and this must be observed. The permit can only be used on pay parking spaces, other restrictions such as yellow lines, disabled spaces, loading bays etc are not covered. In order to apply please complete the application form together with a copy of the registration certificate (the V5 document for the vehicle). The Council will not accept any application without the V5.
Only vehicles that the Department for Transport recognise as ULEV for their plugged in grant scheme will qualify. For a full list please see At the moment the scheme is limited to Leeds residents.
