Upcoming Events

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS WITH THE FOLLOWING DATES:

Reminder: The Try It that was earned at Day Camp was one that we already had earned. If you still have it, please bring it in and I will use it as an exchange for a Try It this year.

***For the cookie care & share, we will be donating the cookies as a troop to the ACBC Food Shelf.***

February

1st – 1:30 – 3pm–ICE-skating event at Champlin Ice Arena. Costs - $3.00 for students, $4.00 adults
Rental Skates available for $3.00 - Girls will be paid for, feel free to bring the family

4th – initial cookie orders due to Heather (612-860-3396) or Janet (763-242-4366)

17th – 6:30-8pm – Troop meeting at River Oaks – A sorority alumni association will be coming to do an activity with the girls on self esteem – SNACK – Callista, DRINK - Sophia

**Heather will be planning a tour of the trauma unit – we will also do build a bear and donate the bears made to the trauma unit

March

5th – possible cookie booth downtown for those that can attend – we are checking on rules for this – TBD

9th – 6-7:30pm - Feed My Starving Children in Brooklyn Park– Volunteer event open for Brownies and families. Please let me know how many you will have attending so I can confirm.

  • All children need to be in 3rd grade
  • I have the following signed up to go: Shelly & Sydney Paulson, Brenda & Callista Riley, Jason, Jolene & Hannah Bauer-Moos, Sue, Kirk, Savannah, & Kalvin Johnsnon, Becky & Lily Bergman, Heather & Alisha Mortinson, Heather & Cayla Haluptzok, Janet Georges

24th – 6:30-8pm – Troop meeting at River Oaks (working on the sewing try it) – moved this meeting from the 17th SNACK – Jadea, DRINK - Hannah

April

21st – 6:30-8pm – Troop meeting at River Oaks SNACK – Mikaela, DRINK - Alisha

**We will be doing something for Earth Day to help clean up the community or some other volunteer activity – more details to come…

May

19th – 6:30-8pm – Troop meeting at River Oaks SNACK – Janet, DRINK - Andie

Our activity will be something to do with cooking – possibly touring Sammy’s Pizza, etc.

Late May/Early June

**Overnight at CampElk River – date TBD

We will not be doing meetings over the summer but may do one activity sometime during the summer – possibly Anoka aquatic center, Elm Creek, Horseback Riding (or stable tour), fishing, etc.

**Please choose a Try It that you would like your daughter to earn. We will be focusing on those Try It’s this year. Also, if you have any interest in leading the girls in earning one of the Try-It’s, let us know – we would love any help that you want to give.

***As always, if you have any ideas for activities or any suggestions at all, please let Brenda or myself know.
