Dear All,
Well here we are at the start of a new and exciting campaign. Things have been coming along nicely on the training ground. Jon and I have seen a real difference over the summer as the lads are growing up. They seemed to have bought into the high-tempo passing game that we have been teaching them. They are now working it out for themselves which is really promising. As much as we want to do well and at times it can be frustrating we have always been adamant on trying to teach them to play the game in what we believe is the ‘right way’ over winning a game. As a result we do sacrifice the odd resultas the lads will make mistakes whilst they are learning. This is fine.The success will follow as the 2 normally go hand in hand and I am sure we will be challenging for honours come the end of the season. Please be patient if they make the odd mistake and always try to support the lads with compliments and encouragement from the sidelines (this is when they learn).I’ve always said we are very fortunate with the conduct of our parents and supporters and especially when you see how some other clubs conduct themselves. Please can this continue especially as they are now getting to an age where there is more at stake. Please try not to confuse them too much with verbal instructions from the side as Jon and myself may have given them specific things to do during the game. It won’t work if we have 30 coaches!!
We areoptimistic that we will see some exciting football this season and the signs so far have been very promising.. There have been some impressive displays in training and the pre-season games and the competition for places is rife.
We are very fortunate to have so many talented lads which will only set us in good stead for years to come.
We are also pleased to announce the signing on Dan Pilston from Chesterton Youth. Dan is an excellent talent who has been on trial with Oxford United and I am sure will have much success with professional clubs in years to come. We are very fortunate to have signed him and I am sure you will all make Dan and his family very welcome around the club. Welcome aboard Dan

Training
Training will continue on Wednesday evenings at the ground from 5.45 – 7pm.
Kits for the Season
We will have 2 kits this season. The yellow kit will be worn for home games and we will have a new away white kit for the away games. We aim to get 2 years use out of each kit and will be looking to replace the home kit next season. The only exception to Yellow Kit at Home and White kit away is if there is a colour clash and I will let you know if we need to change. Thanks to Jon & Heidi Austin and Safety Services (UK) Ltd, for sponsoring the new away kit.

We need to know by the 22ndSeptember if you are interested in coming to Butlins so that we can decide if we are going to enter 1 or 2 teams.

Tea–Bar Rota
As agreed at the parents meeting we held recently we are doing a rota for the T Bar this year. Leigh will oversee this and show you what to do. Please make note of the date you have been allocated below and advise ASAP if you cant fulfil your slot.
You will need to be at the ground by 9.30 on your allocated day.
