Rehabilitation Practice Advisor New Zealand

Permanent (Full Time), location negotiable within the North Island excluding Wellington

With over 300 employees and around 2,000 volunteers, the Blind Foundation is New Zealand’s leading provider of services and support to people who are blind or have low vision. Celebrating our 125th anniversary this year, we are one of New Zealand’s most trusted and iconic Not for Profit organisations.

We are looking for a Rehabilitation Practice Advisor to join us for the North Island excluding Wellington region. Practice Advisors are responsible for enabling staff to deliver safe and high quality programmes. This includes leading professional practice development initiatives under the guidance of their National Manager, and acting as subject matter experts in their field.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

·  Providing team leadership – identify training and development opportunities, coaching, and provide professional guidance and direction

·  Overseeing professional competence and supervision activities

·  Ensuring national consistency and international relativity.

What we are looking for:

·  A qualification in Orientation and Adaptive Daily Living, with experience in the field.

·  A skilled communicator with collaboration and relationship building skills

·  Adaptability to work in a variety of situations/environments

·  Leadership ability and group facilitation skills

·  Someone who is able to work flexible hours and travel within NZ
