Course Registration Instructions
You must enroll for and attend the full week of the program and must arrive by Saturday,June 20th (unless you will be commuting). The program runs until 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 27th.

COURSE TUITION, ROOM, AND BOARD

The fees for tuition and room and board are $2,500 and include all books, reading materials, a course USB, and field trips. See below for information on accommodation and meals.

ACCOMMODATIONS AND MEALS

Lodging:
On-campus accommodations will be dorm style with a private bedroom and a shared bathroom. SMDP Students will stay in the UNH Fairchild Hall dormitory( provides traditional residence hall-style housing. Common areas include a recreation lounge, three small study lounges, as well as a kitchen and laundry facilities.The building has air conditioning and is centrally located in the heart of downtown Durham. There are hotel options within walking distance, but prices are considerably more expensive than on-campus accommodations. If you stay off campus, there will be a discount of $325from full Tuition/Room and Board fees for non-residential (commuter) students. While housing will not be provided, all meals described below will be included.
Meals:
The SMDP will provide three meals per dayfrom dinner onSaturday, June 20th through breakfast on Sunday, June 28th. We will hold a closing banquet and certificate ceremony for all students and faculty on Saturday,June 27th. All other meals are the responsibility of students; there are several options both on and off campus for restaurant meals and a full service supermarket with takeout food.

OPTIONAL ACADEMIC CREDIT

SMDP NH Certificate Students may be able to earn master’s-level academic credit for participation in the SMDP. The UNH usual summer tuition fees will apply, and academic credit students will be required to complete additional assessment assignments. SCHOLARSHIPS FROM THE MASTERCARD FOUNDATION

We are very pleased to make available scholarship funds through The MasterCard Foundation of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We will award several Microfinance Practitioner scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded through a competitive application process. Please read the MasterCard Foundation eligibility criteria and complete the application located on the Registration and Costs web page. The SMDP-New Hampshire Certificate MasterCard Foundation Scholarship application deadline is May 1, 2015.
IMPORTANT:Do not submit this application if you are applying for the MasterCard Foundation Scholarships.

CERTIFICATE LOCATION

The Sustainable Microfinance and Development Program - New Hampshire will take place on the University of New Hampshire campus in Durham, New Hampshire, USA. Durham is located approximately one hour and fifteen minutes from Boston, Massachusetts. Airport transportation is not covered in the Room and Board fees. Please view the Travel Information page for options for travel from Boston's Logan International airport or the Manchester-BostonRegionalAirport or other location.

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Students will make payments directly to the Carsey School of Public Policy/University of New Hampshire in U.S. dollars and can pay by check from a U.S. bank, credit card, or wire transfer. Credit card payments are subject to a 2 percent processing fee on the total transaction amount. Please note that if payment is made by wire transfer, you must add $35 for the wire transfer fee.

A deposit of $500.00 is due within 10 days of registration. The balance of tuition and housing fees are due before your arrival in New Hampshire. Payments may be made by credit card, wire transfer, or check.

Be sure to include your name on the draft and send us an email or fax letting us know that it has been processed. Please add a $35 fee to cover the cost of the transfer and other bank charges. Note, there is no standard rate for such costs and therefore it may vary from the recommended $35. In such a case, if your payments are either short or greater than the amount you owe, we will settle it while you are at the school. The payment amount will be based on the notification we receive from our bank as to what the actual deposit is, therefore make sure you correspond with us at egarding this.

We will initially charge a $500 plus 2% processing fee ($10) for a total deposit of $510 to your card for each person you register upon receipt of your registration(s). The remaining balance will be charged against your card before your arrival at the Program once you have notified us that you have been issued an entry visa by the United Statesgovernment.

Once your deposit or full payment has been received, we will send you an email confirmation and will email you a Letter of Acceptance, which you may need when applying for a U.S. visa.

Refund Information:

If you cannot attend the SMDP, you may request a refund in writing or via email. Requests received before May 31, 2015, will be refunded in full, less a $100 processing fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after that date. It can take up to 4 weeks after the end of the SMDP-NH CERTIFICATE 2015 for your refund to be processed. The refund will be remitted in the form it was received. For example, credit card payments will be issued a credit back to the original card the charge was made on (due to credit card regulations we are unable to make exceptions to this policy), and wire transfers will be refunded via wire.
