U11 – U12 Rules & Regulations

PLAYERS
Players must be on approved USL rosters to participate and have a USL Liability Waiver and the Player/Parent Concussion Information sheet signed and dated on file.
EQUIPMENT
Players must wear their USL issued uniform.
Shin guards must be worn at all games. Player cannot participate without them.
Soccer shoes or tennis shoes can be worn. NO FOOTBALL OR BASEBALL CLEATS are allowed. A size 4 soccer ball will be used for all matches.
Goals for these matches will be set-‐up on site.
ROSTER SIZE
A team’s roster may not exceed eleven (15) players, nor have less than eight (10) players. A team must have a minimum of six (6) players on the field to begin a match.
Each team will play with 8 field players and one GK (Goal Keeper) wearing a different color.
LENGTH OF THE GAME
Each game shall be sixty (60) minutes in length, consisting of two hales of thirty (30) minutes each. There shall be a five (5) minute half-‐time break.
SUBSTITUTIONS
A team can substitute at any game stoppage. (corner kicks, goal kicks, free kicks, fouls, etc). Teams are encouraged to maximize each player’s playing time. (a minimum of 50% in each game).
REFEREES
A registered referee shall officiate each match.
The coach of the home team is required to pay the referee $30 in CASH before the game begins. The home team coach should have a game sheet printed for the referee to complete.

EXTRA PLAYER – A team may add an extra player to the field if the goal deficit is 4 or more. They must remove that extra player should the deficit drop below 4 goals.
THE PARENTS
Parents should refrain from ‘coaching’ from the sidelines during the matches. Your player will be given the opportunity and even encouraged to make mistakes in an effort for them to find solutions to on-‐the-‐field problems THEMSELVES! Individual development is our ultimate goal. Scores and standings will NOT be kept. Have FUN and encourage your child after every match.
COACH
Coaches will coach from the sideline. They should all have their Risk Management Card available to show the referee should they ask.

GAME CANCELLATIONS
All games will be played as scheduled unless: Lightening is present, field conditions are dangerous, or player safety is compromised. WE DO PLAY IN THE RAIN AND THE COLD so please dress your child accordingly. Please refer to our league website & mobile app for game cancellation information. (
