Flag Registration Requests

  • The PJFL Flag Division endeavors to accommodate player/buddy requests when such requests can be incorporated within the PJFL Flag Division's philosophy of building competitivelybalanced teams.
  • The PJFL Flag Division does not guarantee the granting of any specific player/buddy request.
  • Reciprocated player/buddy requests (Player A indicates Player B, and Player B indicates Player A) are given the highest consideration during the team building process.
  • Players submitting more than one player/buddy request will have the requests prioritized in the order they are submitted.Player/buddy requests granted will be limited to players from a total of no more than two families (e.g., player's family and buddy's family).
  • Siblings playing at the same level (i.e., Jr, Int, or Sr) submitting player/buddies for different families (resulting in groups of more than two families) will be dealt with on a case by case basis during team building.
  • Chaining player/buddy requests (Player A indicates Player B, Player B indicates Player C, etc.) willNOTbe considered during team building.
  • Player/coach requests (where coach and player are not related) willNOTbe considered during the team building process.
  • As an incentive, Head Coaching volunteers will be granted a limited number of additional family requests for coaching/administrative support.

Flag Registration Priority

The PJFL Flag Division maintains a Pleasanton Resident First Policy. A Player is considered a Pleasanton Resident (PR) if the player lives within the Pleasanton City limits or played PJFL Flag football last year.

1)If the league fills completely during the registration period with Pleasanton Residents as defined above, a waiting list is started. All Pleasanton Residents, as outlined above, will have priority on the waiting list over the Non-Pleasanton Residents (NPR) during the registration period.

2)If the league fills during the registration period and a waiting list is started, Non-Pleasanton Residents, who did not play the previous year, will be moved to the waiting list based on the order that they were registered.

3)Note: All New Non-Pleasanton Residents registration applications will be numbered in the order they are received to determine their placement if a waiting list is needed.

4)After the registration period ends (the last official registration day) registration applications will be taken on a first come first serve basis regardless of residence.
