Player Assistance Program Information

  1. The Michigan Fire Juniors player assistance program is designed to assist players / families who are in need of financial assistance to participate in club soccer at Our Club. It is available to those participating in a Sparks, Select, Premier, MRL or DA team.
  2. Assistance applications need to be submitted as soon as possible after player commitments as there is a limited amount of funds set aside for player assistance and it will be used on a first come first serve / needs basis.
  3. The assistance program will provide assistance, as determined by the Michigan Fire Juniors Board of Directors, from the information provided. No player will receive 100% assistance.
  4. The review of the application will be done by members of the Michigan Fire Juniors Players Assistance Committee made up of members of the Board of Directors. You may be contacted for clarification or for additional information during the review process. Please respond to any request immediately to allow for this process to continue.
  5. You will be notified by the President of the approval / denial of the application and if approved, in what amount. The Club Registrar and Treasurer will be copied so as to make sure that the player account is noted accordingly and the ongoing status of the account can be monitored.
  6. Payment plans will be accepted upon approval by the Michigan Fire Juniors Board of Directors in conjunction with an assistance agreement or independent of one. This will also be communicated with the Club Registrar and Treasurer to monitor the status of the account. Exceptions will be families / players who have not followed an agreed upon payment plan in the past. Club deposits are required at team sign ups. Any assistance will be taken off the back end of the payment plan.
    No player will be allowed to participate in league activity without having a current account.
  7. A players card will be pulled if an agreed upon plan is not maintained at a current status.
  8. Michigan Fire Juniors reserves the right to terminate a plan if the player or player’s family does not abide by the terms of the plan.
  1. At the sole discretion of the Michigan Fire Juniors Board of Directors, a player may not be placed on a team for failure to abide by a past assistance agreement or payment plan.
  2. The application for assistance will be considered based on the following criteria:

  4. Player / Family financial hardship (loss of job, hospitalization/medical costs, etc....)
  5. Family needs based on family size / household income.
  1. Complete the application. Either print and mail it to the Michigan Fire Juniors PO Box 5 Hudsonville MI 49426 “Confidential – Player Assistance Fund” or complete and email it to the - Be certain to include a copy of your last year’s federal 1040 for income verification.
