Incursions

Play on Shakespeare Year Level: Upper Primary / Yrs 5 to 9

This introduction to Shakespeare session immerses students in the best bits of Shakespeare. During the 60 minute performance, students are on their feet amongst the sword fight from Hamlet, the banquet scene in Macbeth, the balcony scene in Romeo & Juliet and the fairies in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Students stomp out the rhythm of language, throw Shakespeare’s best insults at one another and experience life at the Globe Theatre. Shakespeare’s words, life and legacy will leave a lasting, positive and playful impression.
