Planning a Bus Trip

PLANNING A BUS TRIP

Trip Planner

Go to capmetro.org

The Trip Planner will be on the right side of the web page

Enter where you are starting from and where you want to go:

·  It can be an address (6222 N. Lamar), or

·  It can be an intersection (Lamar and Denson), or

·  It can be a place that people often travel to (Social Security office)

Three choices will pop up when you click on the next entry:

·  Depart now

·  Depart after

·  Arrive by

Then click on “Plan Trip”.

If you’ve chosen either of the last two time entries, then when the next screen opens you’ll be asked the time information again.

Also, when you enter the information into the route planner and have gotten the information about your route, you’ll see a large curved green arrow that points upward. If you click it, it will give you the return route.

You’ll be given itineraries. The first one is always the quickest route with the least amount of transfers.

In an Itinerary, whenever you click on “Depart” or “Arrive” it will show you pictures of the bus stop from two different angles.

·  If you click on the Walk symbol(labelled as a toggle button for screen reader users) before the first bus stop it will show you the walking route from you starting point to the bus stop.

·  If you click on the Walk symbol after the arrival bus stop (labelled as a toggle button for screen reader users), it will show you the walking route from the bus stop to your destination.

Have fun exploring the trip planner. It can give you lots of good information. If you have trouble understanding the information that the Trip Planner gives you, don’t forget that you can call the Go Line at 474-1200.
